And before you ask-because I know some of you will-no, this is not a Peeta x Aelin fanfic. Katniss x Gale (since, you know. Katniss doesn't go into the games, as you can see in the summary) Peeta will be a single pringle. Or I might just throw in a random OC and have them get together. Or I might kill him off. ••• DOES NOT FOLLOW EXACT DETAILS OF THE BOOK. IF I GET SOMETHING WRONG, IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE THAT WAY SO DON'T CORRECT ME. ••• This is not finished. As in, the first chapter isn't finished. Not sure when it will be because I'm a procrastinator, but I thought I'd publish what I have so far to see if people like it.

We know her story. But have you ever wondered what it was like on the home front, in District 12? This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination. Please do not attempt to recreate it in any form. Additionally, if ideas in this work are similar to that of other writings, it is purely coincidental and I apologize deeply for any inconvenience.
