Numbness, sadness, and nothingness are all feelings that had Luke felt for a long time. Finally, after thinking about it he decides he wants to die, but he's too scared to do it himself. Luke goes on the deep dark web and hires himself an anonymous hitman to take him out on a random day within a year.
Shockingly Luke's mom announces that she is pregnant the next day, after hearing this he rethinks his choice and wants to live so he can shelter his future sibling from all the bad things in the world. So that they can never feel the way he has felt, but he can't find a way to get in touch with the hitman to call off the deal.
