Nine never mentioned to escape from Hawkins lab as a child. He was young, his abilities strong. His imaginary friends beckoned for him to join him. Only being six and not understanding, he followed willingly.
Though the outside was not so forgiving. Danger everywhere he looked. Mean men who wanted to hurt him, untrustworthy faces watching him walk by. He didn't even have a name. So he hid. Lost, alone. Wondering, out of site, looking for safety.
