An art student with too much on his plate, rooming with an obnoxious drama student?
With the nature of theater kids being loud and out going, Keith didn't want anything to do with the lot. He was used to being alone, leaving time to improve on his work, becoming an all A student, he didn't like the the idea of a friend to slow down his process so he didn't have any, keeping people away.
