Since the very beginning, all non-humans have collectively been referred to by themselves as Oreds. To the modern population of Oreds, this included Witches and Warlocks, Vampires, Werewolves and Angelbloods – the word ‘Fae’ faded completely into nonexistence to anyone’s knowledge over centuries. But about twenty years ago, Tasya’s mother met an Angelblood, and despite warnings to steer away from the Oreds as per their rules, they fell in love, got married and started a family. As I felt his hand on my back and felt tingles explode, I jumped but then relaxed as I got used to it.
