Earth is being attacked; strange creatures have emerged from the earths core and have ganged up to kill humans. So far, no one has survived these attacks and the creatures themselves aren't actually known to the public! For some reason the government has kept it and many other things a secret, leaving the public even more vulnerable. Countless have died from this, until now. One girl, only one, survived an attack. Not only did she kill the creature, but she gained something from the experience. Something that takes away a little of her humanity. She is now not only a threat to the creatures, but the government and other organizations involved in this case. Even if she started out as an innocent, she's being targeted by all of them. (This is my first story so bear with me.)

The Apocalypse
The ice deep in the north has melted to reveal a new world hidden under the ice. It holds vegetation and animals that seem unworldly when compared to ours, but hidden in the deepest part of this world is another cave with the oldest surviving strains of an ancient bacteria capable of taking host of dead creatures and reanimating them into beasts worse than before. This strain had grown weak over the ages and was nearly extinct, but the human immune system, never being exposed to this, caused the strain to thrive inside its new unexpecting host and spreads out to the world. It starts small, just a speck on the hands of a few people, but soon, it spreads to door handles, pens, books, chairs, things like that. It continues spreading and now has infected its first corpse, the remains of an ant. This new creature comes and spreads to that ant's nest and then to the animals that eat them. Before less than a month passed, the virus had spread to a graveyard in the hidden grottos of the Yukon. This virus, now able to think from the new minds of fresh bodies, can strategize. In only another week, the epidemic had spread to the northern edge of the United States. Spreading further and further in, people began to notice this strange happening. From people disappearing to entire towns popping out of existence, the bacteria continued to spread. To keep order, the governments had those who disappeared erased from existence, but it wasn't enough. The takeover of those long gone happened in less than three weeks and society collapsed. Spreading overseas, it began its removal of life in Europe, but that's a story for another day. We now come to those few remaining settlements in the collapsed U.S, now called The Crumbled Land. What does this new land hold hidden deep in the remnants of its former glory?Concluida

The year is 2018 and planet Earth has given man kind everything that it has to offer, to the point that the planet is dying away. Most of the earth is in ruin which made all the leaders from all the nations meet together on a secret island for two weeks to come up and form a plan for man kind's survival, and so the United Space Administration or USA for short was form. For years the federal governments from all the nations on earth has been secretly investing and contributing with each other on space and military developments without the population of their countrymen knowing about what they ( the government ) was doing, and now the secrets might pay off now that every country on earth has no choice but to come together as one people. The USA ( not the United States ) has built four star ships in the past ten years at Space Station United in space a few hundred miles behind Space Station Freedom . Through the years moon bases have also been built on the moon, and now paper and coin currencies are completely gone. Everyone on Earth has one card with a chip in it that has everything about you on it and the new currency for everyone is credit and bits.Concluida

Prologue: Earth has found out they're not alone in the universe. An alien species have contacted Earth, giving them a chance to be protected by the aliens out there that threatens the universe. They inform them that there are in fact thousands of alien species out there. The alien race, who calls themselves Opsidians, offer Earth a chance at competing in the Games, a televised reality competition game they host. In order to win the protection, Earth will have to send a tribute to the Games. They know little to nothing about the Games or these alien species.
