Jayne Dawson, who is one of the lower students in the School Of Minds, desperately wants to know where she fits in. With graduation steadily approaching, she worries about whether she will even be allowed to move on to the next step which is to learn how to use and craft your power. But how can that be possible when Jayne doesn't even know what her power is?

Every year, around graduation time, rumors about the mysterious Class Z circulate throughout the town, leaving worries in most of the almost graduates including Jayne. When the day finally comes, everyone before her, including her best friend, makes it through to the next step but when it becomes Jayne's turn, she is pulled off the stage and taken away to the unknown class.
