Annie is now a senior in high school with her boyfriend, Hayden and their 3 best friends, Kenzie, Johnny, and Carson. Annie's brother, Caleb died from a fatal heart condition when Annie was 10 years old. 3 years later, when her Dad was deployed with the Marines, he got shot. Annie and her sister Hayley's mom got very depressed after her dad died. Their mom started to rely on drugs and alcohol and gradually overdosed when Annie was 16. Annie and Hayden had been dating for 3 years when Katie, their mom died, so him and his family offered to take them in. 2 months later, Annie and Hayley moved in with the Summerall's, and have been living there ever since.
