#4 in Golems

The door opened, spreading light through the dark room. Guarding my unadjusted eyes with my hands I glared at the door. Who is it? Who dares interrupt my awesome thoughts? ...Even though they were just about food I'll probably never eat again...

The man who stepped through the door was tall, buff-but-slender, and gorgeous. I shivered. Icy blue eyes with sharp eyebrows(Translation: the man was glaring). Long thin nose, beautiful jaw, and a long neck? Long limbs and a small waist?

I licked my dry lips. Ow- Shouldn't have done that. A crack opened back up, making it bleed again. What I would do for some chapstick!

Anyways, hot guy? He was probably of college age, maybe a highschool(Though I doubt it) senior? That makes him just a few years older than me? His hair was silky, but disheveled, his clothes quality but wrinkled. Hot guy that doesn't know how to take care of himself with a bit of sadism?
Just my type.

I licked my lip again. Ow! I've got to stop doing that!

"These just came in a few days ago. If you're looking for something that hasn't been broken in yet, these are among the best to choose from." A man from behind the door said.

The hot guy looked around the room with a casual glance. His gaze seemed to have picked out a few older, fuller women from the crowd. He looked from one end to the next. I noticed that he overlooked me, though it didn't matter much. My mind was thinking that I recognized this level of hotness from somewhere.

"Wait a minute..." I muttered, but in the silent room it was loud. I was squinting against the light with a finger to my chin in a thinking pose. "Don't I-"

He hot guy looked over at me, who was making all the noise. Most of the room did. As he did so I yelped, "It's you! The Flower Freak!" I pointed at him, feeling proud of myself for figuring it out, "Hey!" I stood up and walked over to stand in front of him, "Choose me! I'll be your slave!"

66 parts Complete
WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION There are imperfect moments in every life-but sometimes, there are perfect accidents . . . What's the point of pretending nothing has changed when everything has? It's the last summer before college, and Jonas Avery knows he should be excited. Instead, he hides out at home, avoiding his friends, his family, and everything that resembles his old life. Because nothing will be normal again-because of The Accident, when everything started falling apart. Brennan Davis knows she needs to stand up and face her anxiety-the deep, dark, debilitating dread that rules her everyday life. Because what stops her from going out into the world and just living is going to get a whole lot worse. She's leaving for college in the fall, where she'll be confronted with even more to worry about. To get back up sometimes you have to fall down, hard . . . When Jonas crashes into Brennan-in a harmless, albeit embarrassing fender bender-the two teens connect in ways they never expected. As friends, they help each other overcome their biggest falls and faults, and soon discover that while love can't fix everything, it's sometimes a place to start. Sensitive, wry, and unabashedly authentic, The Opposite of Falling Apart isn't about finding perfection in another person or fixing the things we think are broken. Instead, Micah Good has penned an enchantingly honest novel about accepting the very pieces of ourselves that make us unique, whole, and undeniably human.
