Leap year release. What could be so bad? Letting the patients loose will help them fit in with society when they fully heal. It seemed like a good idea at first, but when the death toll of civilians began to rise, what did the government do? They said 'Well this is what you wanted, isn't it? You wanted them to be free. So here's our offer: you don't protest against us anymore, and we only release them on the leap years'. What a bad offer, right? But it was either that or let them free completely and watch the bodies pile up. Which would you choose? But more importantly, every time this happens, how far would you go to protect your family?

No one really knew how X's came to be. One day there weren't any, the next day half the population was wiped out. All Karma knew was that they are technological monsters, fit to be the world's biggest weapon, after the splitting particle ray which could reduce any person into air particles in a millisecond. Karma realised how simple it would be to destroy an army even with one X. They were practically indestructible, perfect killing machines, only they'd turned on the government, apparently. Or maybe those bastards had escaped perfectly unharmed, watching how the country was being destroyed. Maybe it was an excuse for overpopulation. xx-xx Karma has been trying to survive for over a year, but it's difficult when X's, mechanical killing machines, roam the streets, hungry for human flesh. Every day that passes by without finding a portal brings the morale lower. They need to escape the country before they all end up dead. It doesn't help that the X's have changed their tactics and are now manipulating people to commit suicide. The death rate keeps increasing, and Karma has to find out what family means, and to what extremes she would go to save the ones she loves.
