How can a broken radio suddenly function at 3 in the morning every now and again? It was beyond her. Dust settled down again on top of the radio. Only the scuttling of the rats could be heard, as one flurried across a shelf, a book tumbled down on the it, sending bits of screws out of its system and landing on the floor next to its battered looking batteries.
