Imagine if World War 2 had been a cover-up this whole time. Imagine if every country had no idea that a larger mysterious power was leading over everything and everyone. The United States got power hungry after World War 1, so they began to devise a plan to keep gaining more control, not cluing the President in. The government descended into oppression for centuries, putting more control on the people, arrests for no reason, and checkpoints, like a living prison. People have to hide who they truly are. Safety is not guaranteed. Then, out of the ashes, a little rebellion that has been forming for years arises, with an insane hope that they can stop this tyranny and oppression.Complete

An alternate scenario of World War II. Typically, these stories involve adding elements, such as equipping Japan with modern technology or granting them knowledge from the future. But that approach feels too conventional, so I tried subtracting instead. I decided to remove the enormous factor that is the United States of America. The result was an entirely different history. Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. So they stayed civil while still doing what it took to survive.Complete

Only a small parts of the earth is left after a nuclear war. America has thrived with new power, and has the most habitable land. But the government is corrupt. People are punished for the smallest of crimes. A new form of schools were created to hold the kids of the criminals. There are no windows, only two doors, and always filled. Students make money depending on their grades. Almost all don't know about anything that is happening outside the walls. People are killed every day by the government. The radiation killed or transformed the living. Animals turned into hybrids and humans, well that's an interesting story. The school was created people for people like me. Those who had been transformed by the after effects. We gained "powers", the things our parents knew as fiction.
