Newly promoted Corporal James Moore finds himself locked in a battle he can't win. Between his depression and constant combat he feels unable to lead his squad after rookie squad leader Sergeant Thomas DiVitto takes a round through the skull. As him and his squad fight through the New Hampshire terrain he wonders, if they really can win this war.
