maya gets pregnant her junior year of high school, and without telling lucas, she decides to move to california, far away from him. five years later and fresh out of college, maya decides it's time to move back to new york with her now five year old daughter, hope. and when she receives an invitation to her high school's five year anniversary, she can't help but imagine what running into lucas would cause. however, when she runs into him at the park one afternoon, with his three year old daughter, she feels her heart shatter.
