I'm not villainous, just antagonistic. So many people are so eager to throw that term around: 'villain'... I'm not out for the world; I'm not out for revenge. I've certainly never killed anyone... directly. I'm only in the business of kidnapping so I can make some cash. I'm not very good for much else.
But kidnapping an old childhood friend was not something I expected to do. Especially not Harmony Delaney, who just so happened to marry my least favorite enemy, Sir Olan Davis. For once in my life I'm having doubts about my career choice. Guilt is sneaking in... and I don't like it.

Author: Hey there, I'm looking for someone to make me some cover art. If you know anyone, and/or are willing to make me some, just let me know. I am willing to pay, if I must.

Through the darkness, the computer screen illuminated the pale skin of Adelae's face around the black mask. Scrolling through the submitted questions, she came across one that made her smile. "Dear Lady Shade," She read aloud to herself. "Why did you choose to be a villain instead of a hero?" She chuckled, shaking her head at the simple, loaded question, before selecting it and opening the page to write a reply. "Hello Blogger KittyStan41. I bet you're expecting the classic tragic backstory in response to this question." she typed. " Dead parents, treated like trash as a kid, and it all came to a choice between rising to defeat my inner demons or succumbing to them. Well, my real answer is possibly something you haven't considered about the world of Heroes and Villains. Answer this for me, what is the goal of a hero? To make the world a better place, perhaps? No, dear KittyStan41. The classic goals of the Hero might seem epic and noble, but in the end it all comes down to stopping the Villain. What kind of life is that, when your only goals derive from the actions of someone else? Your whole life is used up as a preventative measure. Now does that sound like a good way to live? "I chose to be a villain not because I enjoy hurting people, but because I have goals that I plan to achieve. Don't bother asking what they are. If I told you, everyone would know, and people (baby heroes) would get in the way. Then how would I achieve them? I aspire to more. Is there need for a better reason?"

"What is your predicament?" he repeated slowly I was getting pissed. My predicament is; I led my coworker and friend to an early grave, my fiancé if I dare call her that, was gallivanting around God knows where, doing God knows what. I had never even seen or held a gun all my life but in less than 48 hours I've somehow managed to stare down the barrel of a gun. I also endangered my family and anyone foolish enough to call me a friend and not too long ago I put an innocent woman, someone's grandmother in ICU. "What's your predicament?" Short legs asked again, spacing his words slowly as if each held a double meaning. My brain clicked suddenly; "I have delayed diagnosis" He nodded briefly. "Welcome. I'm Doctor Rasheed". ::::::::::::::::::::: Rex Obasi was just an average banker struggling to deal with his fiance dissapearing after eight years. In a crazed moment of greed, he steals valuable documents worth millions but there's something else in the mix; a piece of paper containing numbers - coordinates he doesn't understand. When the coordinates lead to a deadly human trafficking ring, operating under the guise of an N.G.O, Rex realizes he has stumbled on what is no doubt the most dangerous organized crime, operating since 1989. His life of deposit slips and checkbooks are turned upside down, now it's guns and bullets, knives and assassins. It's up to Rex to put an end to it, redeem his conscience, and just maybe he could get a second shot at love. But there's every possibility that a bullet is coming next.
