I opened my eyes, squinting them at the sudden light, and hissed as I recoiled from it. Laughter filled my ears, and the same loathing voice spoke, "Good. You are not for the light. You are for darkness, and shadow; you will have life, eternal. You are a vampyre, you are to be called Vakorys. Feel my hatred run through your iced veins, and my rage thrill your stoned heart. Feel it." The voice drew closer, and something touched the back of my neck, forcing me to look upon the speaker.
