Ramona Lovelace is the Parabatai / best friend of Isabelle Lightwood and adoptive older sister of Clary Fray. When she was one her dad left her on the doorstep of Jocelyn's apartment wanting nothing to do with the Shadow World. The day she turned 12 Jocelyn told Ramona all about The Shadow World, sending her to the New York institute and erasing Ramona from Clary's memories feeling it's best for them. 
Ramona grow's up with the Lightwoods and Jace,  they do everything together from getting their first runes to the actual close up demon fighting. Nothing could go wrong right?
Wrong. Clary herself appears her way into one of their missions, Ramona thinks that they can just call it a night and Clary will think it was all a nightmare. But, she wrong. Clary is starting to  get the sight back, Jocelyn has been taken by Valentine Morgenstern, a man feared all of the Shadow World a.k.a. Clary's dad.
