Sunfeather (the narrator since I always write in 1st person POV) is a young alicorn (pegasus with a unicorn horn or the other way around whichever you prefer for describing these things) who was abandoned by her herd when she was only a month old (far too young to be weaned, since horses get weaned at 6 months) and left to die. Some horse catchers found her and one of them gave Sunfeather to his daughter, who loves horses but didn't have one. That's where Sunfeather's name comes from. The daughter, Sarah, takes really good care of the filly, making sure Sunfeather learns to fly and tries to help her learn to use her horn for reasons other than poking the crap out of trees or annoying colts who try to flirt with her. Also, Sarah is the only human who can actually talk to Sunfeather, so whenever something is wrong with the horses, Sarah and Sunfeather go try and help. Read the story to find out more, or not. Your call.

Basil

The last unicorn remains among the world. Her name was ˈYo͞onəˌkôrn, and was then renamed by a scientist to be then named Basil. She is a beautiful, powerful magic user, raised by Doctor Sebastian Martin- however, when people attempt to use her for power and magic, she is driven to madness, fleeing Nunavut with her small herd. Years later, Doctor S. Martin and his daughter, spot Basil. In a grasp of hope to find the young unicorn, they go on a journey to find her... but after everything, was there anything left of Basil at all? Was there even a point to their journey? This is an old iteration of this storyline that I started about 3 years ago, I do plan to rewrite it when and if I ever have the time or motivation to.
