During the seven years that your most powerful guild members were stuck on Tenrou island, Sabertooth, an up and coming guild when you were younger (now incredibly famous) was on the hunt for the last dragon slayer known to complete their collection. When they came to Fairy Tail, it didn't take much convincing (but rather a pretty chunk of jewel) for Macao to "sell" you to Sabertooth.
During your days at Sabertooth, you were encouraged to always join Sting and Rogue, calling yourselves the Dragon Slayer Trio. However, your relationship with both of them were tense. Rogue always gave you a cold shoulder, and Sting was... Sting. Too cocky and a control freak. You didn't like him and he equally didn't like you. Or so you thought, until the Grand Magic Games.
