It was a cool October night in 1956. Adrian hadn't looked back at the orphanage he'd suffered in for years. He ran to the transit station, but had no money to ride a bus. "No ticket no ride," the driver said, kicking him off the bus. "A bus will be arriving shortly," an old lady told him. "I don't have any money," Adrian replied. The old lady laughed, "Oh dear, you don't pay, you just get on"

I close my eyes. I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. Suddenly, I feel my stomach drop and my head start to spin. I try to scream, but nothing comes out. I try to breathe, but my mouth is dry. The sickening feeling continues for about a minute, then it stops. I open my eyes; I'm not dead... Yet.
