Oliver has recently turned 21 and has had the incredible fortune of being almost guaranteed the job opportunity of a life time. He's one of the best computer programmers of his time and right as he's looking for a step up in his career he's greeted with his absolute dream job. The largest and best funded lab in the city suddenly has an opening in its lead designer, putting him in charge of all updates and bug patches for everyone's personal regulation chips. They're essential in everything from communicating with friends to tracking a persons vitals. Unfortunately this new opportunity comes with a little more responsibility than he expected when he is forced to question everything he's been taught as he gets his first peak behind the curtain of the only world he's ever know.

On an alternate earth where the world is divided between the poor and the rich. The middle class still exist but they are rare. Ezra Holecek is a boy living in a "Good School" community. A community that has a school where students that have good grades go to. Also on this earth, there is a event that happens every year: The Grand Races. Ezra's school gets to submit a racing vehicle and a racer. Who could this racer be? There are also spooks, and scares around every corner. Would Ezra also survive these perils?
