He doesn't want to accept who he is. They are scared of what he might be. When judging him on his journey to find himself, he only finds angst and pain, but maybe a bit of love and passion. Accepting yourself is one of the hardest things in life, being who you are should never hold you back from living life to the fullest. People who don't accept you for you, they are no people.
