The boy stepped closer, his eyes tired and challenging. "No deku, I saw you jump off that bridge, you're not here, you can't be alive."
"Oh I can assure you." The boy grabbed katsuki's chin. "I've never felt more alive."

Midoriya Izuku was ambitious. He always pushed until he fell. He never gave up, not once did he fall and stay down. Not even when his idol told him that his dream was illogical--that in reality he will only get in the way. So he made a set of recordings and set up an anonymous channel. He approached many people and asked them variants of the same question: "Can a quirkless person become a hero?" No matter the answer though, he was broken inside. His dreams and hopes were shattered a long time ago. But he isn't ready to take a swan dive just yet. He wants to meet one person who will tell him that he is not useless. That he can be a hero. And after that moment, he will decide if he's ready to take a swan dive off the roof of a building or not. Some of the chapters will be quite triggering. I will put a warning beside each chapter title that includes detailed descriptions of triggering topics. The characters do not belong to me, only the plot. Katsuki Bakugo, UA student, aiming to be the number one hero, has a problem. Izuku Midoriya has been brighter than usual and it's been making Bakugo feel warm and light inside. This pissed him off. Especially since everyone else seemed to want the cheery green-haired, clumsy idiot. With these strange new feelings, Bakugo has discovered that he feels no resentment towards the boy he grew up with. Instead, he wants to pull Midoriya closer, hide him away and protect him. After being kidnapped by villains and brutally tortured, Bakugou is saved by All Might who consequently loses his power...at least that's what Bakugou thinks. But is that all Bakugou feels guilty about, as his anger and self hatred rise? Is that all Bakugou should feel guilty about...? What if the reason for Katsuki's hurtful words had to do with the dark past Inko desperately tried to keep hidden from the outside world? What if becoming a hero wasn't the answer after all? ~~ My eyes widen. "I've decided. Young man, you will inherit my quirk." I let out a sigh of relief, laying down on the ground as my anxiety fades. I'm overwhelmed with joy, tears streaming down my face as my body is overcome with brutal exhaustion. I don't plan on using this power to become a hero, but All Might doesn't need to know that. I can't think of being a hero, or anything else for now. I need to get stronger, even stronger than my father. Wait for me mom, Kacchan, I'm coming. ~~ After that night, things only became harder for Izuku. The mental pressure was too much, to the extent that it took an unhealthy turn. Izuku could barely handle the pressure of having no one to rely on, torn between becoming a hero and being taught how to assassinate by the killer of heroes. It wasn't long before his sanity began to split. ~~ "It's okay. Honestly, you're the first person I've met who doesn't think my quirk is more suited to become a villain.." Shinsou said. After spending so much time with villains, I no longer thought of the word the same. "If you ask villains their story, you'll probably think they'd make pretty good protagonists. We always see things from the hero's perspective but we rarely ask how the villain ended up the way they are. The heroes are the real villains if you ask any villain, and even villains can be a hero to someone." ~~ I killed someone. Now older, he drifted away from everyone and started getting into fights. He hopes to, one day, find Deku again. Deku was forced to leave his best friend when he was younger. Now older and practically unstoppable, Deku is a vigilante. He's chased by police and heroes, and doesn't have much money to take care of himself. Katsuki Bakugou was almost completely deaf. He could barely hear his own explosions anymore, but that didn't stop him from trying to become a pro hero. He couldn't wait to prove everyone wrong when they said he couldn't be a hero because of his hearing loss. He manages to pass the UA entrance exams and gets accepted, along with his childhood friend, Midoriya. They're placed in class 1-A with the luck that the home room teacher actually knows asl. The transition from middle school to high school isn't the smoothest. Navigating through high school and the pro hero world is hard for someone with all five senses, let alone someone who couldn't hear. Katsuki stumbles... a lot. When Midoriya catches him staring at the duel haired boy in their class during training, he's quick to tease him for it. They sign quickly, Katsuki's movements for aggressive than normal. They gain the attention of Shoto Todoroki, who in turn, stares back. It was obvious that they were signing about him, but he had no clue what they were saying. Katsuki catches on to the staring and signs at him, even though he can't understand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Katsuki turns to the taller boy, clearly in a pissed off mood. "Yes, I am signing about you." He signs at him, knowing that he won't understand him anyway. Midoriya's laugh was heard through the training ground as he saw what his friend signed. Shoto looked at him, completely lost. "He says that yes, he is signing about you." He translated. Understanding takes over Shoto's features as Katsuki realizes what Midoriya must have just done. Most of them are very competitive by nature, so you can only guess how extreme it gets. When Izuku pushes a little to far with his childhood friend, Bakugou, their classmates call it quits and they all head to bed. As Izuku makes his way to his dorm, Bakugou stops him. He says he'll do it, because he's not a 'fucking chicken', but only if Izuku agrees to continue the game... As the game gets more heated, so do their everyday lives. Between the seemingly constant fighting and someone with dangerous feelings towards Izuku, will the two be able to get past all of that and finally be friends... or maybe more? ************************* I let out a defeated sigh. "Fine, but you still have to compliment me ya know. That's not going to be an easy task for you." I said with a big smile. There's no way he could do. "Oi, shut up!
