8 years. It has been 8 years, with the current year being 2023, since the apocalypse took mankind by storm, destroying life as we knew it. Few survived, and even most of the survivors gave up on life. But, however less, people remained. People who had seen the horrors and braved them, sheltering themselves from the beasts they refer to as "Walkers". Naheel and Alice had found sanctuary in a shelter in California, and they're minds were led to believe everything will be all peaceful. They were wrong. So wrong.
