It's the year 1874 when a British company arrives in the East Africa called the British East African Company. It involves itself with trade but something in the interior catches their attention. The Ajika community has both gold and diamond mines,something the British East African Company wants to control. The only problem is the Ajika community won't give up their mines but soon enough,an opportunity knocks on the door for the company. The chief of the Ajika community has only one thing worrying his mind,his second son who is to be the heir to the chief's position. Nobody had anticipated the death of his first son and therefore,the second son's behaviour had been given a blind eye. Amo is the boy every parent hates,every girl prays wishing not to see him offering his hand for marriage and every boy is annoyed but can't do a thing about him. His father tries everything but nothing can make him change his ways until... The stepdaughter of the owner of the British East African Company arrives in East Africa. With the aim of controlling the mines and the aim of controlling Amo's behaviour, the two parents decide to marry off their children as a sign of the treaty signed by the chief and BEAco's owner. Amo and Juliet are forced into an engagement.
