I hear the sound of something hitting the concrete right next to my left ear. I can feel cold metal touch my left cheekbone as his lips brush over mine. My mind barely grasps that he has their gun next to my head as he kisses me|...
Serving as Optimum to her sect, the Elites, means that Tallon Avis is respected as the greatest fighter in the greatest sect in the New World. She has led her militia to win the fights for the past three years and knows she will have no problem winning against them again. This year as The Fight begins she sees that her opponents, the Republic's, are weak as usual. The one thing that has changed? The attitude of one of the opposing fighters, Asher Stone.
As she goes through each part of The Fight she makes it her mission to find out why this fighter is so rebelliously quiet. Is he planning an uprising against the Elites?
