Newt lives alone with his mom when she meets somebody new and all of the sudden Newt's mom tells him that their moving to her new boyfriends house. When Newt moves there he realizes it might just be fun considering its a giant villa he has all to himself because his mom and her new boyfriend are on vacation. The boyfriend has a son his age called Thomas and Newt is not happy when he finds out he is going to have to spend his vacation alone with him.

And my god, Newt was petrified by the whole idea. Back in South London he lived with his mother, father, and younger sister Sonya. Ofcourse, That was until his parents got a divorce. Newt and Sonya were sick of living in London, so they moved in with their Grandparents who lived in a small town in Colorado. It was their cheapest option overall. Over the summer Newt decided to get a job at a Café and one day a boy named Thomas comes in with his group of friends and becomes regulars- and becomes friends over the last month of the summer. Since it's a small town, they end up going to the same school. And that, Newt's regular customer Thomas was the one he fell in love with.
