The music suddenly stopped, followed by “Police! Show us your ID’s.”

Eyes bulging, I looked directly at Amber, only to find her doing the same to me. I read her face, which said, ‘Holy shit we are so going to get it this time.’ I already knew the same was written all over my face. Amber dropped on all fours pulling me with her.

“Oh my God Amber, we are in so much freaking trouble this time,” I breathed.
“I know, I know. I have an idea though. We could crawl out of here.”

“Are you stupid?” I whispered screamed at her. “The cops are here, we’re going to get caught”

“Shush. Stop trying to jinx us. Have a little hope will ya; we might make it out of here. Now, follow me,” she said as she began to crawl her way towards the back exist of the frat house.

I followed her like freaking always. She came up with a stupid, crazy idea I followed. She was the reason why we were here. I should have been in bed sleeping soundlessly not crawling on a dirty floor at a college New Year’s party. ‘Never again,’ I thought to myself. ‘Never again.’
