Nohrian twins Princess Kassandra and Prince Norton have been estranged for six years: separated by stone, distance and hearts. When they're kidnapped by Hoshido and told of their true lineage, they're suddenly drawn together again. But war is coming, and now they must choose a side.
Prince Norton is King Garon's most obedient son -- stopping the rebellions, hanging the bodies, following the orders. Then his heart falls for Hoshido, and he sees a chance to become a new man.
Princess Kassandra has never killed, and she's determined to do everything by her own principals. Devoted to the only family she's ever known, she refuses to turn her back on Nohr. But while she teaches the Nohrians how to show mercy, she must learn the hardship of war.
