"Oh my god" I groaned shoving Luke out the door first "He just doesn't change does he!" Rhiannon patted my arm sympathetically
"No he certainly hasn't" Rhiannon replied as I held the door open for everyone. Everyone looked happy, their eyes lit with laughter and it had certainly bought everyone closer together even though we barely known everyone for long. It felt like home.
"This feels like how it used to be" I mumbled watching everyone goof around, this place would be good for us. Rhiannon hesitated and I forgot she was so close.
"It's nothing like it" Rhiannon spat furiously whirling around to face me and my stomach dropped because I knew I had just caused an oncoming argument. "These people are nothing like you and your friends, these people are genuine and not backstabbers who have to come running back an entire year later. I trust these people with my life, and unlike you I know they won't abuse the friendship. They actually care." My breath hitched as I couldn't even comprehend a response and Luke stood beside me silently
"Rhiannon, you know I cared, I still do. Hell I always will" I whispered, my eyes boring in to hers just to be met with the cold guarded eyes not the murky blue eyes that usually swirl with happiness. Everyone was watching and I felt a cold chill run through me at the sudden tension.
"Rhiannon come on it was a year ago- We are here now and we are trying-" Luke stopped before changing the direction of his words "Isn't it time to start again? to forgive and-" Rhiannon quickly whirled to face him, interrupting him quickly,
"Don't you dare say forget! You cost me my friends, my life L" Rhiannon's furious shout turned in to an angry whisper as a tear leaked giving away her fury. Luke and my eyes both widened at the use of Rhiannon's nickname for Luke, a nickname I never thought I would hear again. "

"Thank you," he murmurs sleepily, raising his hand to bring it to my cheek. His thumb slides against my soft skin slowly, it burns hot at his touch.
"For what?" I question, my eyes feeling very swollen and heavy now.
He takes a deep breath and swallows.
"For being my light."
