In the year 2442, the world was involved in a devastating war. Lives were lost, homes were burnt to the ground, once powerful countries were now poverty stricken. Vampires had risen up from the ashes to destroy all of man kind and they succeeded with their revenge. Humans now only made up ten percent of the population, however a group of powerful witches put a protector spell on the small city of Florence. This spell kept all the vampires out and all the humans in; until all the witches had been hunted and the spell no longer had any use.

Vampires were now free to roam the city of Florence, bringing along terror wherever they went. However, no immortal would dare go towards the royal palace because the wise King had a powerful weapon that could wipe out the entire vampire race. With this in mind, the vampires destroyed the city and forced the King to make a horrifying deal. This sacred deal promised that whenever a princess was born to the rulers of Florence, she must be delivered to the vampire King by the time she reaches her eighteenth birthday. This deal also promised that the King and Queen must keep reproducing until they have a beautiful girl.

It was now 2824 and the sacred deal was still intact. King Vito and Queen Concetta birthed two boys before they were blessed with the healthiest, most beautiful baby girl. They had chosen the name Arabella because the name was a perfect fit for their lovely little girl. Then, three more boys came along and their family was now complete.

It was now the year 2842 and Arabella was almost at the ripe age of eighteen. She knew the duty she had in order to keep her people safe, but she hated vampires with all her might.

They had a perfect government, 'perfect' marriage and 'perfect' kids. But only very few knew what actually happened in that castle for they were anything but perfect, but they sure tried. If a single kid twitched or faltered their smile, they would get a major punishment such as a whip to the back or a beating till you would bleed. Arabella being the youngest or the 'runt' in the family she would get picked on or beaten by her siblings and parents the most. Her oldest brother/heir to the throne was her savior. He would teach her how to fight and ward off her siblings whenever he could. After the kingdom was sent in flames Arabella somehow was left by Fen Riorson and was finally rid of her cruel family... but her brother who she watched get scorched by Fen Riorsons dragon was the only person she loved. He was gone and she had nowhere to go so off into the streets of Navarre she went where she learned to kill and steal and train. She saw conscription day forms and signed up as Marlena Iverson where she meets Bodhi Durran who teaches her to face her past so that she can finally love again.
