In a city of banished light and tainted air, a child grapples for the fleeting hope of a forgotten future. He grasps his innocence, his needless optimism and wields it. He was a beacon, a candle to the encroaching darkness and this tiny spark will only garner attention of the innocent and the damned. The child was not charismatic, he was no leader yet his dreams will force him into a role that no other man will carry.
