They were told to stay away from the surface. Humans hunt and capture them. Some adore them wanting nothing more than an up close peak. But Nerissa, a daughter of King Triton, can't help but get a little closer to the surface than she should.

Nerissa is second in line to the throne of Atlantis, a responsibility she knows she doesn't want. But when her older sister passes the crown and opportunity to Nerissa, she knows it was a destiny the Fates wove for her: to marry a son of Poseidon and rule the land of Atlantis together.

But everything changes the day she meets a human prince on the beach. Can Nerissa avoid the enthralling dangers of the human world, or will she accept her fate and marry the vain son of Poseidon? It started with a ripple.
