One look into her young eyes and you can tell she has lived thousands of lives. One second of the scared girl she is shown before she replaces the mask. So many masks must she keep. One of the loving daughter, the protector, the victim, the adoring girlfriend. Masks made of glass are made to break but not shatter. In a world like this, how can she keep picking up the pieces that fall?

This story will have dark themes of self-issues, abuse of many kinds, assault and mentions of drugs. This is NOT a daryl love story! Oh and lots and lots of cussing! Enjoy!

39 parts Complete Mature

Daryl Dixon is completely on his own. After the Saviors burn down Alexandria, he thinks that he is the only survivor. Living without the group that he has come to love, has left him as nothing more than a shell of the man he used to be. One day after a brutal fight, he stumbles upon a run-down shack in the woods. As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most. You only start to get chapters once the entire story is written. And it finally is. I hope everyone enjoys Angel.
