Clarke Griffin was imprisioned because she had a daughter at 15 from a one night stand. She's now a 19 year old 'criminal' with a 5 year old daughter. She was on a ship going down to Earth. Within seconds the ship landed on Earth with 99 other kids who were also imprisioned. They were all criminals. Some were imprisioned for stealing, some for killing, and some for other reasons. This is how her life is now that she is on the ground.
