That Football Kind of Love

"I love you I shouted from across the field. My secret falling from my lips at the end of our biggest game. He just stared at me blankly. "Do you hear me?! I am pouring my heart out to you and you don't even care! Was I just something for you to fuck, or what?!" The tears roll down my face and I reach for him just one last time.
He grabs me and pulls me close, kissing me in front of everybody in our home town, our families, and teammates. "Don't you know I love you too, dumbass." He smirks, and I look up at him, smiling. He's made me so happy and I don't even know how. As I look over the crowd I see the faces of my parents, pissed, hurt, and shocked. Then, I see his, they were happy and hugging each other; almost as if they had known all along.
