Beyond a Shadow

Shade never imagined himself to have gotten this far. His very existence is dependent upon his lack of speaking out towards things that risk his safety.

Suffering in a world where there is no hope, no smiles, and certainly no happiness, Shade finds himself in a place of discontent in the country of Syn.

Syn was once a paradise to those who seeked prosperity, however what quickly seemed like an abundance of joy, only burned ever so quickly and gracefully to the ground. Only ashes remain and the people there are its remnants.

Like slaves, people work to barely suffice their survival, and shade is no exception. Having his parents die tragically in the hands of the very people who were sworn to protect them, Shade was alone from the very beginning of his adolescence.

This is a supernatural story, one that tells the tale of a boy who rises from his pathetic life to fatefully become a symbol of peace and hope among the weak and suffering.
