A young, fierce, white-haired orphan lives in the tribe of Dragon Valley. Humans live in mutual peace with the dragons and the other odd inhabitants of their culture; trading cloth for an adventure; medicine for protection . . . and so on and so forth. But now it's time to ponder- what would have gone differently in this young girls life if she followed the rules? If she wasn't the free-spirit that graces the valleys and hills with her unnoticed beauty? What if she hadn't stormed off that day in a loud rage, or what if she hadn't stopped to investigate what she found?
A young, meager, black-haired orphan nearly escaped death with everything intact. The only thing that was missing he just couldn't seem to recall- oh, yes! His memory. He found himself utterly lost, deprived of hunger and dying of thirst. One day he finds he just can't take one more step and he collapses in a heap of sorrow of lost hope. Death inches closer and he finds that he isn't afraid.
Two children without a family. Pushed aside by the only people that took them in. They are the only ones that can stop everything from falling apart. Old memories brought to the surface; shocking information that could very possibly bring about death; new powers unleashed and the definition of family forged from the jaws of despair.

Waking up face down in mud sucks any day of the week. But coming around in the sludge of a strange realm...? Well, that just redefines a bad day altogether. Trapped in an unfamiliar world, sixteen-year-old Quinn is frustrated that none of the strange Tree People appreciate his urgency to get back home to earth. Now he is faced with a choice that could change the course of his life: escape and find his own way home, or stay and help them find the cause of the poison ravishing their world. When the mind-reader unlocks one of the ancient mysteries of the Tree People it points to the only way of saving them from annihilation: they have to find the Power of Light. What exactly that means, the mind-reader doesn't reveal, but his next warning comes as a shock to all present: finding the mysterious Power of Light can only be done with the help of the dangerous enemy tribe whom they once called family. Quinn soon finds himself a little more entangled in the lives of these gifted beings than he'd care to be. Especially after meeting Jazz: the feisty girl from his world who seems to be a regular visitor to the world of Zoay. To Quinn's constant frustration, the aqua-eyed pixie makes it clear that she's not there to make friends. On their journey they'll brave bizarre encounters in dangerous alien forests, while sacrificing pride and will for the survival of all. Along the way Quinn finds more than he ever thought to seek: purpose, fulfillment and love. When the Power of Light is finally found a devastating discovery is made: if all of Zoay-including their enemy-want to live and prosper, one must be willing to sacrifice their life.

The Golden Dragon's Hoard

31 parts Complete

Astraeus, a baby dragon, escapes from his old coven and stumbles upon a little shop that he spends months stealing from and hiding in to survive. The witch and familiars who live there are... strange. They know he takes from them but don't put up different wards, don't do things that could hurt him. They know that he has a hide out in the aster tree, that he lives close-instead of getting rid of him and forcing him to move, they visit him. Talk to him, leave him things, they're kind. Different. Stranger than any other witch or familiar he's ever met. Stray is not used to things that don't hurt. The gentleness is terrifying. He'd rather stay away from them than learn why they don't have sharp tongues or bruised knuckles. However, on the night of a bad storm, he gets trapped inside of the shop, trapped with kind strangers. After getting caught, he discovers another dragon. He learns that life is not meant to be painful. He learns that he can be loved. He's allowed to want things with them. To eat, to not fear the cold, to live instead of survive. Everything changes and Stray is determined to make them his hoard, to make it complete.
