A first impression is never the best way to judge a person; as an idiom goes, "never judge a book by its cover. It is a metaphorical phrase which means simply, to not prejudge the worth or value of something by its outward appearance alone.
Because of these false perceptions from under the first minute, society has put people into - sometimes derogatory - categories before the individual even knows it.
A Mile Of Empathy attempts to break these misconceptions by bringing real and personal stories from all walks of life to create understanding and awareness. If you have a personal story you want to share, contact me here!

However, do not let your fear dismiss the truth. Do not believe the lies you constantly tell yourself to ignore the pain you are feeling. Do not let the sum of someone else's trauma silence you.
The Path We Take
The light at the end of the tunnel is not the people who make you feel weightless, even though we believe that it is and suddenly stop looking and start giving up on improving yourself. We stop going through the doors but in reality its not the people who push you.
