He speaks as if he knows everything, he trips over his own tongue like the intelligent person he is. The lingering taste of vodka and whiskey taint his sinful chapped lips. When he walks he stumbles, he smells like nicotine and he's cold. Ice resides in his veins and heart but not even the hell like flames of hatred and anger burning within his mind can freeze over. She's sweet like honeysuckle. She's warm and physically beautiful with her long brown hair and different colored gaze. When she smiles, the entire world stops to look and stare at her. Yet underlying her forced smile and physical perfection, dwells the monster that is her mental illness that she cannot control. Being beautiful doesn't hide it either, only mass doses of prescription pills do. In which an 18-year-old who believes he hasn't much to live for leaves his small sleepy town in hopes of finding his mother who abandoned him years ago. All the while a 17-year-old girl with severe Manic Depression tags along in hopes of being distracted from her illness and to also find peace of mind and happiness elsewhere. ** Inspired by music, specifically The 1975, Lana Del Rey, and others. ** Rough draft in desperate need of editing, plot holes, grammatical issues, etc. * not cliche but cliche it has it moments, but also so many plot twists so idk yeah. "So what's your type?" "What do you mean?" I pause, looking up from my book to meet the eyes of my dear friend. "Type of what?" She shakes her head with a chuckle. Her head then jerks to her boyfriend, busy trying to figure out a solution in his work. "What type of guy do you like?" "I don't really have one." I reply. "Come on, there must be something a guy does that catches your attention." My eyes casually glance around the courtyard, trying to figure out a quick response to her question. But then I hear a voice speak just to the right of us, Professor Abel happily talking to Mr. Levine. "Well?" "Older." I mumble. "Someone older." "Just older?" His deep grey eyes soften slightly in the sunlight. "Someone... colder too." "So you want someone as bad as Professor Abel?" My friend jokes poking my side with her fingers. I snap my head back to her, surprised at her question. To brush off the embarrassment I shrug my shoulders, faking a smile but my heart is pounding furiously. "Haha, very funny." It's as if our conversation has been leaked when my eyes rest back on the tall individual. The grey swirls are staring right back at me, his colleague oblivious of his wandering eyes. His expression is stern but in the light it seems as though his lips are curled up, making my stomach do a flip. "My type." "I am the one carrying your name behind me; we are married. how can you say we have nothing in between us? Huh" She yelled at him, tears blurred her vision, and she spoke her heart to him. "For god's sake, this marriage was to save you! Can't you get that? I did not do it willingly, I do not love you!!" He yelled back at her, shattering her heart into pieces. "Why can't you just love me?" She spoke, as she cried the tears of hurt, and pain. Her heart thumped loudly due to the shivering sensation She felt all over her body. "I never made a commitment to you, or gave you any false hope, neither did i say that i love you. Did i?" He asked her, in a very cold tone. She looked at him through her teary eyes. It's getting difficult for her to even breathe. "It was your eyes, the damn eyes. Who gave me the false hope. They say, "Eyes speak the truth," but what about mine? Couldn't you feel the sincerity within them, expressing my deep affection for you? Why didn't you see the love shining in them? Was it too complex to understand? Couldn't you notice the warmth as they gazed at you? They search for you in every corner, If only you realized how they silently echoed the emotions I couldn't articulate. They say, "Eyes never deceive." But what about yours? They played a trick on me when they met mine, painting a facade of a world that wasn't real. They made me feel loved, Leading me into a belief that crumbled, louder than your spoken promises. Why did they betray me? Was it your eyes or you that masked the truth?" He stayed still, not moving or saying anything at her statement. --
The Royal Deal
It was supposed to be a marriage. A contract marriage. A simple deal beneficial to two families. But she hated it, she hated objectifying herself for the greed of her father. She hated the feeling of losing from a bunch of strangers who didn't consider her say in her own life. So, she turned the tables. What she didn't know was, he only agreed to a deal thinking she had a say. He didn't want a marriage yet agreed to one for the benefit and name of his family. He wasn't a man to mess with but she took her chance and he let her. And it might be her biggest mistake. Taking her chances with him. He got obsessed with everything about her. Her fragrance. Her voice. Her very presence. She came into his life with all the intentions to leave. Now the question is, would he really let her go? Would she want to stay?
