It has been fifteen years since the rebels overthrew the Capitol. Katniss and Peeta are now happily married and living with their two young children in District Twelve, now - apparently - safe.
Katniss almost loses herself at the mere mention of the Games, and Peeta cannot escape the Games which haunt him in his dreams. They can only protect their children from so much.
Then Katniss receives a letter from Gale, after fifteen years of silence. Someone they thought was gone is out there and ready to return. But there is also a word, a whisper, from the Capitol...
