Intro: This is my first time writing a kinda real story so tell me what you think..dont hold back

So Desiree Beauvoir lives in a pretty protected life. And just till recently she has realized that this is not the life she wants to live.... Of course there was nothing she could do about it with her strict Christian, Old fashion, Haitian parents watching her every move. This is her last year of high school but keep in mind that she is 18 years old and can make her own decisions. So every time she tries to go out with her friends and occasionally some boys, there has to be constant questions from her parents. Also keep in mind that she has had been encountered with a few bad decisions. And still will be told no. And it seems to her that it is rare that a boy may be actually interested in her.( But she is beautiful and needs to know this) So she kind of accepted the fact that there is nothing she can do about it. Until she is walking home from school and meets a boy...a boy that she has not seen before. She then learns what real trouble is. She learns that this hard thug is slowly breaking and she is the only one that can help him. He may also be able to help her with a deep and dark trouble that no one knows. But how can she?? And will she let him help. Desiree comes across many obstacles in this story love, pain, maturity, and the biggest one: herself.

An internal voice whispered, "Call him." But I chose not to. I dismissed it once more, saying, "He never liked me anyway." Yet the dilemma lingered. "But maybe he does. The way he looks at you... it's different." Out of nowhere, he glanced my way. My heartbeat quickened, sending shivers down my spine. I averted my gaze, pretending to look around. "Has he noticed me? No, wait-oh my god." --- After switching high schools, Nina discovered a new way of life. She fell in love, made wonderful friends, and everything seemed perfect. But Ethan-a popular boy who never focused on anyone but her-was the object of her hatred. He was always there, always keeping her safe. He used to annoy her endlessly. She hated him deeply. Until she didn't. For a while, she was content with her high school experience. That is, until something mysterious turned her world upside down. Forced to move to a new city, Nina had to cut ties with everyone she once knew. Eight years later, fate brings her face-to-face with him again. "Ethan..." He's the key to everything-the truths she never knew. When she was lost in the dark, he always held the light. But now, things are different. She despises him. He's colder than ever. Marius switches schools at the beginning of his Junior year and meets Jae. Jae is attracted to Marius but is not accepting of these feelings, so he, instead, bullies and beats Marius. As the story progresses, Jae's mental health deteriorates, and life as he knows it falls apart. The people who ultimately pick up the pieces of Jae's broken self and helps him put them back together turn out to be people Jae never expected to stand up for him. Life turns out to be pretty alright. But, things are never what they seem. And for Jake, Jae's best friend, life is especially brutal. ***sad ending*** I do not condone violence or homophobia of any kind, nor am I intending on romanticizing them. This is a work of fiction, but it also serves to show how important mental health truly is. I am a big believer that the mind requires just as much care as the body, and that everyone deserves to pursue their happiness and be loved and accepted by the right people. I also keep editing, even after I've edited and published. It sucks editing your own stuff because mistakes keep popping up :( I'm relatively new with story writing, and I'll admit that it kind of sucks starting out, but please read! It's brutal and sad at times, and it will probably trigger some... A lot of... people, but it gets better! Or at least I feel it does. WARNING: This story contains a lot of the following mature content: *profanity *physical violence *bullying *homophobic language *mentions of self-harming behavior/suicide and other symptoms of poor mental health *sexually mature content between two (and three) males - high smut content If any of the aforementioned mature subjects bother you, then please click away, now. But I hope you, dear reader, will give it a chance! Some of what I write might not be very realistic or accurate, but it's my story, and I'll write it to my heart's desire... Just so you are aware.

[THIS IS A REWRITTEN VERSION OF THE OG] *** WARNING: Contains extremely triggering and mature content in almost every single chapter in this book, read at your own discretion. *** "That's not a fair deal." She whispered, more to herself than to me. "I know." "Sleep over but with no sex?" "No sex." I confirmed. She pursed her lips together and clenched her hands on the sides of the cabinet. Her eyes flitted over to the remains of two lines of ket. There was still a dusting of powder on the side. "Fine." One word. It was a miracle. I was certain she'd say no, but I'd wanted to try anyway. "No one can know." She reaffirmed. But as soon as those words were out she scraped the remaining powder onto her finger pads and snorted it. *** Cassie Moore is a walking mystery, but the ghosts of her childhood are neither glamorous nor intriguing. She is broken, and the perpetrator stays hidden in plain sight, taunting her with her very existence everyday at school. And one day, it all comes to a climax and her entire world shifts. This is a beautiful romance between two people who love each other more and more every day that goes by. Two people who better each other, a boy who sets a girl free. This is a journey between a girl and her emotions that are continually working against her. This is a tale of how two misfortunate people grow out and with each other in adversity.
