Since the beginning of history, there are been stories of black-eyed-kids, or BEKs, in every culture, religion, and society. Alleged to be generally malicious young adults with completely black, chilling eyes, many people think nothing of it, seeing the tales as merely that: just tales. To Shilo Miller, a high school girl with what she calls 'Sight,' BEKs do indeed sound like fiction - until she meets one face to face.
