Bess Myerson once wrote that "to fall in love is awfully simple, but to fall out of love is simply awful," Books and movies never fully explain what it feels like to get your heart broken. They say that it feels like you have died, but it doesn't really feel like that. It's more like suffering. It's the pain and loss killing you ever so slowly. You feel this way until you want to actually die just to be put out of your misery.
Physically, it feels as if you literally can't breathe correctly, you feel your heartbeat slow until it feels like it has stopped, you want to scream but you feel as if you don't have the voice in you, like you can't function any longer.
But emotionally, this feeling of emptiness is almost indescribable. You feel like something is physically missing in your heart, you can't even imagine how life will be without the person, you can't wrap your mind around the fact that they are gone, it feels like you can't ever rest emotionally, you can't feel comfortable, because that person was the source of your comfort.
And now you have no where to go, and you just don't know what to do. Nobody will give you a satisfactory answer. And why you might ask? Because there is none.
