Mandy Sciara. That's my name. I'm just one of the many common American girls in Atlanta. Do I have hobbies? Only if daydreaming counts as one, then yes, I have a hobby. But this time it's different. Then there's Sam, apparantly his older cousin - the wiser one with the better intensions. At least, that was my first impression.. FYI: English is not my native language. I'm Dutch. After a mysterious man begins to befriend her while working at her job, a night of sex turns into the start of everything she thought she could handle into a whirlwind of challenges. It's easy to kill a person in the movies or in a book because it's fiction. But actually suck the life out of a living being and it be her new reality, that's a whole different ballgame. Nadine Burns must now learn to face being a Newborn vampire in a world where there is no kindhearted feelings and sunshine and rainbows.
