On the outside, Grace Miller seems to have it all: perfect grades, amazing friends, the best clothing, loving parents, a perfect life. But no one knows how much she struggles every day. Grace's parents are on the verge of a divorce, her "friends" are loyal to one of her rivals, all her money goes to school and paying her parents' bills, and she has to pull far too many all-nighters to keep her grades up. On top of all that, her cheer squad nears mutiny the closer to the big game it gets! The only one who can keep Grace together, keep her sane, is a boyfriend whom all of her friends and family disapprove of simply because he is from the South Side, the side of town where gangs "run rampant." Will Grace be able to keep herself together until she graduates and is able to leave the oppressive North Side, or will she crumble under the pressure?
