This is a 13 year old girl's diary. She is being moved from her home, Venice, Italy, but she isn't allowed to tell anyone why. Alana just wants to be able to tell people why she is really moving. Alana writes in her diary as much as she can, so she has record of what has happened since she has been on the Atlantic. All of her family's personal belongings were previously moved to her new home, by plane, but Alana and her family have to ride a boat to get to their new home.
