Thousands of years ago, war broke out in Egypt, threatening the lives and fate of the people of Egypt. Egypt's powerful protectors, the gods, fought against the evil threatening Egypt and defeated it. In order to fight against a humanly force, however, they had to be humanly. So the gods took upon a physical form. Whilst they were in physical form, they felt physical needs- hunger, thirst, weariness, sadness, anger, lust. Thus... a new age was born.

The gods eventually returned back to the heavens... but not without leaving something behind. Demi-gods. The children they had with a human. Each demi-gods possessed their parents abilities. Unfortunately, these children were scattered all across Egypt. This is the story of one of the Demi-gods, Akila. Akila was raised up in the palace with her mother, Hatshepsut. As she grows older, other Demi-gods come across her, and they aren't the nicest. Akila is destined to stop this other great evil... but destined doesn't mean prophesied. Will she be able to stop this evil, or will the fate of Egypt crumble underneath evil's boots?

Keeta was born at the beginning of the Middle Kingdom of Egypt. She was the only daughter of a nobleman that barely made it through. When she turned sixteen years old, her parents gave her to the temples so that maybe one day she could become a powerful priestess and bring good fortune to their family. Keeta didn't mind. Four years into her studies she was noticed by a young man. It was different for her. Never before had any man taken notice of her. He showered her with gifts and rare desert flowers. She wondered why he was so persistent about her even though she was training to become a priestess. Then God Set killed his brother Osiris and his brother's son Horus was out for revenge. Chaos reined down on the mortal plains. The Goddess Isis protected those within her temple the best she could but some worshippers perished due to Set's wrath. All save her. The man that had such affection towards her returned just before the final battle. With everything happening, Keeta didn't realize that the man was actually Set until Isis appeared after he kissed her and revealed him. Isis felt Keeta betrayed her by sleeping with the man who killed her husband. Before Set could stop her, Isis branded Keeta with the Symbol of Eternal Life cursing her. After, Horus banned Set to the Red Desert and for over a century that's where he remained. Keeta walked amongst the mortals and watched as they all perished as she remained the same. It wasn't until after Set was free of the desert did the truth finally come out and by then it was too late. Isis couldn't reverse the curse. Isis then gifted her with an Anubis pup. Amis, the grandson of Set. He aged the same as any God but preferred the look of a pup unless Keeta was in trouble. Then he took on the look of his father along with the powers that came with his full grown self. When he wasn't protecting Keeta, he was often found on his cushy pillow dreaming of sweet donuts.

Nephthys taught them how to prepare the dead, and how to prepare for the afterlife. Yet Set grew greedy. He wanted more power. He wanted his brother's throne. He wanted to rule all of Egypt himself. Have the power for himself. Nephthys, now pregnant, began to fear her husband. He was not the same as when they were married. And so she escaped Thinis and travelled to Memphis to claim sanctuary with her brother and sister. There she gave birth to Anubis. The jackal headed god of death took up his position and began to ferry the dead souls through the underworld. Isis foretold the coming war with Set. But Osiris, always trusting of his brother, did not see the danger. And so invited him to the announcement of Isis' pregnancy. It was there that Set killed his brother. Nephthys and Isis escaped Memphis under the cover of darkness, and took refuge with their loyal followers. There, Isis gave birth to her son Horus. So here's the deal: I'm fifteen, practically invisible in my own family, and now being shipped off to Grandma's house for the summer. Just when I thought things couldn't get more predictable, she hands me this old, mystical necklace, and suddenly, bam-I'm in way over my head. Apparently, I'm the proud new owner of a one-way ticket to a world where old egyption society rule over realms of light and darkness, and mythical creatures actually exist. But here's the twist-this isn't just some magical vacation spot. People are after me, or more specifically, the necklace, because it's the key to power in this world. And guess who's expected to protect it? Yup, me. The worst part? No one asked if I was interested in saving the world. But you know what? If they think I'm backing down... they clearly don't know me very well.
