Her neck was marked when she was but a wee pup, signifying her rank and status among the pack. Not long after reaching adolescence, however, Jaime was banished for reasons kept close to her chest. Forced to roam as an outcast not only to her birth pack also but to all others, Jaime integrates into the human world, taking great precautions to hide her true nature.
But when a new and unknown wolf pack arrives in the town she has so recently decided to call home for a spell, Jaime finds herself caught up once again in the world of wolves and wolf politics, and she is thrown into a dangerous game of hide n' seek as she attempts to evade detection and capture.
Things aren't easy, especially when one of the wolves turns up at her workplace as a new hire. It's a good thing Jaime recently updated her scent blocker and redirectional sprays. The old ones were out of date from lack of use, and they didn't really suit her personality anyway.
Another drabble, this time with werewolves, written somewhere after a nonexistent first and second chapter. For a friend's perusal.

They call them enforcers-They are the ones that come in and clean up when laws have been broken. They are the most feared and strongest of us. They were the ones who couldn't live peacefully in the packs so they decided to make use of them. Soliditary wolves with alpha personalities. I am not like them. I'm worse. I'm a considered a rogue. Now I'm the prisoner of the enforcers who should have killed me. Why haven't they killed me? Well because by some cruel trick my mate turned out to be their leader. Now I'm stuck with someone who isn't sure if he should kill me or if he should take me to his bed. Don't I get a say in any of this? How could this possibly get any worse...
