Melanie Fox had everything she ever wanted. She attended college at UYC, owned her very own car, lived with her dad and older sister Georgia, and she had a great best friend. But when her mom passed away everything changed. Her dad treated her as if she wasn't his own flesh and blood. Her sister went MIA, never talking to Melanie and her father again. Her best friend moved to pursue her career in cosmetology, And worst of all she ran away. One day, Melanie was sitting down outside of the restaurant she worked at and a handsome man approached her with a concerned look on his face. He crouched down, tilted her chin so she could see his beautiful deep blue eyes and said, "come with me". Something told her that this man was going to save her life.

He leaned in and kissed me on the lips. I kissed him back, and we lingered in our embrace for a moment before pulling away. I could see something was shifting, was he holding me? What were these feelings brewing inside of me? I told myself not to take them too seriously. "You're pretending." I whispered to myself. "None of this is real." - The offer was simple: one million dollars to pretend to be his girlfriend, then his fiance, in a space of six months. Everything she wanted was going to be at the tip of her fingers, including, maybe, making her best friend Jake a tiny bit jealous. What could go wrong? Everything, absolutely everything. And they both wanted it.
